Invacare Named to Fortune, IndustryWeek Lists

Invacare Corp. has been named to the Fortune 1000 and IndustryWeek U.S. 500 lists, the DME/rehab manufacturer has announced.

The Fortune 1000 list ranks the country's 1,000 largest corporations according to revenue. Invacare made the list at number 983.

IndustryWeek magazine also named Invacare number 393 on its U.S. 500 list of the country's largest publicly held manufacturing companies based in the United States.

Invacare Chairman/CEO Mal Mixon purchased the company through a leveraged buy-out on December 31, 1979. Said Mixon, "We have come a long way in 30 years, from $19 million in sales to $1.75 billion in sales, and we look forward to moving up in the rankings in future years."
