Golden Technologies Receives SmartTek Patent

Golden Technologies' SmartTek system - standard on all of the company's lift chairs - is now patented.

In making the announcement, company CEO Rich Golden said, "We constantly strive to be as innovative with our products as possible. To be innovative, we want to design products that make sense. SmartTek is a great example of us designing and obtaining a patent for a concept that helps our dealers diagnose a problem quicker and easier, as well as help the consumer identify a source of a problem with a lift chair quickly and easily and be able to better communicate with their dealer should a problem arise."

The system works with a pair of LED lights - one on the hand control and the other on the wire that plugs into the transformer. If one or both of the lights is off, the consumer can recognize there's an issue with the lift chair or the chair's electrical source.
